It’s almost summertime, and I finally got a chance to come back and visit all my friends at 11Alive. And what’s summertime without my dad and Backyard Weather?
Dad brought me to this year’s first BW, which is right here at 11Alive.
There’s Dad with the guys who are working the grill. They have chicken, pork, and ribs, and I even got to eat some… though I had to wait my turn, just like everyone else.
This is some of the stuff they put on the barbecue.
Everyone at the station walked in on Dad’s weather report just to get their share. I got mine pretty close to the start, and it was awesome.
Steven, who’s normally working with Valerie, took some video of me hanging out, and as soon as I learn how to use the system Dad uses to put up his video, I’ll post it here on my blog.
I got stuff! Check out the swag the kids from AMCA in Alpharetta sent me: dog biscuits and tennis balls, and even better, enough to share with Mandy (my sister, who you may have heard of).
Me, with my stuff from the kids at AMCA in Alpharetta.
Now that the weather’s getting warmer, it’s more fun to do stuff outside, and last night I got to be on TV again and be outside at the same time, which was pretty awesome. Me, Dad, and Dennis were out in the little garden spot outside 11Alive. Dennis talked about dogs who bark too much.
He wasn’t talking about me. Really.
If you forgot to watch or DVR me on TV last night, you can watch it right here:
You think pollen bothers your sinuses? Y’know what it did when I rolled around outside and it got all in my fur?
Let me give you a little hint:
A spray bottle? Really?
Yep. I needed a BATH. Big-time. As you can see, I wasn’t too thrilled. I guess the washing was okay, but is this the face of a happy dog at the drying station?
This is my nonplussed face.
Dad says that if I roll around outside in the pollen and the dirt, this is what I have to expect. I’m not sure if I like water yet — I was talking to Dad’s friend Josh from 11Alive, and Josh said his golden, when he was a kid, was afraid to go swimming. It’s an option.
That’s really the most exciting thing that’s happened to me lately. I know some of you have been asking where I’ve been; well, with everything going on at home and Dad taking a few days off work, I haven’t been able to get to the station. Don’t worry; I’m still here. Not sure if Dad will be able to bring me by next week, but we’ll see.
Oh, and one more thing: check out this hilarious video I found on YouTube. This dog really loves baths, huh?
I was all set to come to the station tonight to see everyone, but Mom’s not feeling too good, so I’m going to stay home and take care of her. See you next time!

Y’know why I love going to 11Alive? Because everyone there is so happy to see me, and even if I mess up my behavior, there’s always another person who wants to pet me and tell me I’m a good dog.
Me at 11Alive on February 26
My friend Josh from 11Alive’s web department took a bunch of pictures last night while I was greeting my faithful fans before going on TV, and he put them up on my webpage. Click here to go see them. (You’ll have to scroll down a bit.)
And here’s video of me, Dad, Dennis, and Mom from the news last night, in case you missed it.
I just wish Dad would stop telling everyone how much I weigh…
Stay safe this weekend; Dad says there’s probably going to be some bad weather. If that happens, I’m totally watching him on TV.

I made my triumphant return to 11Alive last night. Did you see it?
Aw, come on, how could you miss it? Brenda gave me a nice intro and everything!
My friend Shawn, one of the producers, took this picture of me too:
Showing off on my lead.
I’m on almost every Thursday, either at 6:00 or 7:00 in the evening. Sometimes Dad and me hang out with Dennis, and other times we meet people like pet psychics. It just depends.

Pensive Pup
I was all set to go on the 6:00 news with Dad, but when Judge Bodiford said all that stuff just before, I knew it wasn’t going to happen. That’s okay; I still had a good time.
I’m really looking forward to being on the air on Thursday. My friend Dennis will be at the station too, so if you have questions about helping your friends be good dogs, you can send them from my website.
Dennis and I got to hang out this weekend. I’m working on coming when called, which is important, because sometimes when Dad or the family call me, there are treats. I love treats!
Everyone cross your fingers — or claws — that there won’t be any breaking news on Thursday, because I really want to be on TV again! Dad’s work has so many interesting smells!

I’m feeling so much better today! Dad says I can come to 11Alive tonight, so set your TiVo or DVR or VCR or just hang out in front of your set tonight at 6 or 7 and see me! I can’t wait to see you!

Ugh. I ate something. I don’t know what it is, but you know puppies… we get into everything.
Seriously. Ugh.
I’ve got a bellyache. I hope I can make it to 11Alive tonight, but please don’t be mad if I feel too sick. I promise to be extra-cute next week if I can’t get there today.
Wow, that was great! I came to 11Alive yesterday and got to see all of my friends in the information center, and got lots and lots of people to pet me. It helps being cute.
My friend Dennis, who Dad calls my trainer, took me around on a leash to help me get used to wearing one and being a good dog. That meant no jumping up on people. I love to jump up on people, so this wasn’t so awesome, but it’s okay. If no jumping except when told is part of being a good dog, I guess I can handle that.
My friend Shawn, who’s a producer at 11Alive, took some pictures of me on his cell phone. I’m still waiting for him to send them to Dad, but when he does, they’re totally going in my official photo gallery.
I wish I could’ve run around outside, but it wasn’t going to happen. Too rainy and wet. I think I like keeping my paws dry.
Anyway, if you didn’t get to see me on TV last night, that’s okay, because Dad’s friend Josh showed me how to embed video onto my blog:
If you want to embed it, all you have to do is click the fourth icon from the left (the little picture of a piece of paper with the end folded over) and you can embed me on your blog too! Or you can e-mail me or post links on your Facebook.
Oh, that reminds me: Chris, who works on 11Alive’s website, made a Facebook group for me! If you’re on Facebook, please join it. I’m going to get on Facebook really soon, I promise, but I’ve just been so busy and haven’t had time!
Okay, that’s all for today. Have a good weekend. I know I will!
They better lay out the newspaper in the 11Alive studio, because I’m coming in and I am excited! Tomorrow I’m going to be on TV again, along with my dad and my friend Dennis, who’s training me to be a good dog. And as much fun as I have, I think I need a little help. My family decorated the house for Christmas, and there’s all sorts of fun and tasty things to chew on. I love to chew!
I also had to go to the doctor. That wasn’t very much fun. But Dad said I needed some shots. I don’t like shots. At least I don’t have to watch when they do them, but that squirt up the nose? That one stinks, and I don’t just mean because it has to go up my nose. But I’m fine. Just had to sneeze a couple of times.
Also, yesterday was my sort-of birthday; I turned 14 weeks old!
Don’t forget to watch me on TV tomorrow, and Dad’s taking lots of pictures so you should be able to see those soon too.

Hi! It’s me, Doppler, the Weather Dog! My dad (that’s the awesome Paul Ossmann) asked me to start blogging on our new blog site, 11AliveBlogs.com. I don’t really have a lot to say yet, but I’m going out on my very first live shot ever tonight, and that’s pretty exciting!
While you’re here… I know that it’s sometimes hard to keep up with everyone’s blogs. With my schedule — sleeping, eating, training, playing, visiting my friends at 11Alive, and going out and meeting people — even I sometimes run out of time. So I asked my friend Josh to make an RSS feed for me. You can click here to add it to your RSS reader. If you’re not sure what all this RSS stuff is, that’s okay too; there’s a whole page to help you on 11Alive.com.
So, how’d I do? Do you like my blog? Are you going to subscribe? Please do! And if you somehow found my blog without going to my page, click here to see it! There’s videos and photos and the weather too, and if you haven’t signed up for my newsletter, you can do that there!
