Ways to Save Extravaganza at 11pm Wednesday!
I have not blogged much this week but have a GREAT excuse! Ive been hard at work on tonight’s 11pm show. We are devoted nearly the entire newscast (after ten minutes of news) to Saving You Money! We are producing segments on lowering your bills, great blogs, travel, credit cards, groceries, coupons, even where to get sports event tickets. See you at 11pm!!

This message is for Valerie. I downloaded coupons, printed them and tried to redeem them at the Kroger Supermarket located at 6678 Covington Highway, GA 30058 in Lithonia, GA yesterday – May 26, 2009. The cashier refused to accept them and after I insisted, she said the store policy was to only accept 2 coupons per visit. After she noticed that I was visibly upset, she paged the store manager on duty, Mr. Christopher Cutts, who again told me that the coupons would not be accepted and indicated that it was some sort of scam. I stated that I had downloaded and printed them from 11alive.com, but he still would not honor them. Can you please help with this? Or is there any other store that will honor these coupons? I listen to your programs all the time and hear stories of people saving quite a bit of money on grocery purchases. Is there anything I’ve done wrong? Please let me know.

I am sorry you had to go threw that. i have used my coupons at publix, kroger,walmart, cvs and had no problem. But i have heard of people who have. However, i only use up to 2 of that particular item coupon. I dont think they allow you to buy 6 items and use 6 printed coupons for that one item. And dont forget your sunday paper. if you buy 10.00 worth of food u get 1 item for a pennie at publix on sun and monday only…that is your paper money back in hse hold supplies and some weeks they have 2, just shop 2 stores or take someone with you to use the other….there are ways to save. good luck.
